Here you can edit all the default styles for this campaign. Any changes made here will apply only to this specific campaign.
This includes the header. Under Header you can remove the logo, turn the announcement bar and navigation links on or off, and change the space above and below the header, for this campaign only. A gap between the header and your first block usually comes from the header's Bottom margin.
To edit the global styles for all new campaigns, go to Settings -> Looks.
Block Level Styles
A block is any element of content in Spoks, such as a paragraph of text, an image, a heading, a list, or an embedded object.
You can also make block-level edits. Click the "Write" toggle to return to edit mode.
When you hover over any non-text block type, a properties box will appear. Click this box to access block-level styles.
For text blocks, the block properties are accessible via the properties button in the format bar.
The format bar appears when you highlight a text block.
Sections and background colours
A section is a container you can put blocks inside, and it is what lets you set a background colour behind them.
Click + in the editor and choose Section under Layout. The section opens its own small editor: add the blocks you want inside it, then click Save.
Back in the campaign, hover over the section to reveal its floating properties button, and click it to open Looks override. Set Background color there. The same panel also carries Background image, Border color, corner radius, margins and inner padding for that section.
A text block on its own has no background colour setting. Put it inside a section to give it one.
Email width
Every email is 600px wide, and the width cannot be changed. 600px is the standard width for HTML email, and it is what keeps a campaign looking the same in Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo and on mobile. Outlook on desktop cuts off anything much wider.
Margins and inner padding on a section change the space inside that 600px column. They do not make the email wider.
