Surveys vs polls

  • Surveys are used to collect richer input such as preferences, intent, feedback, or profile data.

  • Polls are lightweight and ideal for quick, single-question feedback.

Both are managed from Content -> Surveys.

Creating a survey

To create a survey:

  1. Go to Content -> Surveys.

  2. Click New survey.

  3. Add one or more questions.

  4. Choose the appropriate question type and mark questions as required if needed.

Supported question types include:

  • Short text

  • Long text

  • Number

  • Date

  • Single choice

  • Multiple choice

  • Contact details (used to enrich contact profiles)

Using surveys in posts

Surveys are added directly into posts using the Survey block.

When inserting a survey, you can:

  • Select an existing survey, or

  • Create a new one on the fly

Once published, responses are automatically tied to the contact who submitted them.

Where survey data is used

Survey responses are stored on the contact profile and can be used to:

  • Build segments

  • Add filters in flows

  • Guide future messaging and automation

This makes surveys a powerful bridge between content and automation.

Best practices

Use surveys intentionally. Keep them short, relevant, and placed where the user already has context. A well-placed survey often outperforms standalone forms because it feels like a natural part of the conversation.

Surveys turn engagement into actionable data, without breaking the experience.
