When you send a notification to subscribers of a Back in stock form, you'll usually want to include information about the specific product that's back — its name, image, price, and a link to buy it. This is done using personalization tokens in the post's content.
Personalization tokens are small placeholders you insert that get replaced with real values when the post is sent. Tokens specific to the product that triggered the notification are grouped under Back in stock in the token picker — product name, image, price, product link, and more.
Add a token to text content
To add a token inside the notification's text:
Open the notification in the flow editor.
In the notification's content area, click the + button to open the block picker, then select Personalization under the Text section.
Browse the token groups and select the token you want to insert.
Add a token to the email subject or preview text
The email subject and preview text can also include personalization tokens, useful for making the subject line dynamic — for example, "Good news — {product title} is back in stock!"
Open the review dialog for the notification.
In the subject line or preview text field, click the
{}button to open the token picker.Select the token you want to insert.
Add a dynamic product image
To use the back-in-stock product's image instead of a fixed one:
Add an Image block to the post.
Click Add image.
Switch to the Dynamic image tab.
Click the
{}button in the URL field.Under the Back in stock group, select Product Image or Variant Image.
Add a link to the product on a button
To make a button link directly to the back-in-stock product:
Add a Button block to the post.
Configure the button and set the destination to External link to website.
In the Your link here field, click the
{}button to open the token picker.Under the Back in stock group, select Product Link.
Don't use the product block for the back-in-stock product
Spoks flows have a product block that displays a specific product in a post. Don't use the product block to show the product that came back in stock — it doesn't show the product that triggered the notification.
Use personalization tokens instead. They dynamically reference the product that came back in stock, so each subscriber gets the correct product info in their notification.
The product block is still useful in Back in stock notifications for other purposes, just don't rely on it to show the back-in-stock product itself.
