Recommended flow setup

The recommended flow setup depends on how advanced your automation needs are. Most stores can cover their core lifecycle communication with a small set of flows and expand over time as needed.

Getting started / normal needs

If you are getting started with flows, these are the most important ones to set up first. Together, they cover the majority of common e-commerce needs.

Welcome series
Introduce new subscribers to your brand and set expectations early.

Customer thank you
Follow up after a purchase to thank the customer, reinforce trust, and build long-term loyalty.

Abandoned checkout
Recover revenue from customers who started checkout but did not complete their purchase.

Win-back
Re-engage customers who have not purchased in a while.

This setup provides strong lifecycle coverage with minimal complexity and is sufficient for many stores.

Advanced setup

Once the core flows are live and performing well, you can add more granular flows to increase relevance and timing.

Abandoned browse
Re-engage visitors who viewed products but did not add anything to cart.

Abandoned cart
Target customers who added items to their cart but did not proceed to checkout.

Active on site

Engage visitors who are actively browsing your site with timely, high-intent communication.

These flows allow you to engage customers earlier in the funnel and make your communication more contextual. They work best once you are comfortable with filters, timing, and flow logic.
