Forms and polls in Spoks help you collect information and feedback from your customers and visitors. Whether you want to capture email signups, ask why someone is unsubscribing, or run a quick poll in a post, Spoks gives you a few different form types to choose from depending on where and how you want to use them.
This article gives an overview of the different types of forms and polls available in Spoks. For details on how to create them, configure them, or view their responses, see the related articles linked at the bottom of this page.
Types of forms and polls
Spoks offers a few different types of forms and polls:
Shareable form or poll: A regular form or poll you can share via posts, with a direct link you can send to others.
Popup form: An overlay that appears at the right time on your store to capture visitors. It has various trigger settings, a form teaser, and can be shown or hidden based on specific URLs.
Unsubscribe poll: A short poll shown when someone unsubscribes, used to understand why they are leaving.
Subscribe form: Used to capture visitors in posts and public feeds. It's created automatically and can be customized to your liking.
Polls are created from the post editor rather than the forms page. To create one, start a new post and add a poll to it.
When to use each type
Want to capture visitors directly on your store? → Popup form
Want to share a form via a link or in a post? → Shareable form or poll
Want to learn why people unsubscribe? → Unsubscribe poll
The subscribe form is created automatically and used to capture visitors in posts and public feeds. You can't delete it, but you can customize it to your liking.
Where to find your forms and polls
All your forms and polls live in one place in Spoks.
On web: Click Content in the left-hand menu, then click Forms.
On mobile: Tap the "..." button in the bottom-right corner, then tap Forms.
From there, you can create new forms and polls, open existing ones to edit them, and view submissions.
Form status
Forms and polls can be set to LIVE or DRAFT, which controls whether they're active on your store or in posts. You can change the status at any time from the form editor — see Creating or editing a form or poll for details.
Where form and poll data is used
Submissions are stored on the contact profile and can be used to:
Build segments
Add filters in flows
Guide future messaging and automation
This makes forms and polls a powerful bridge between content and automation — structured data that flows directly into how you reach contacts later.
Tips for getting the most out of forms and polls
Keep your forms and polls short, relevant, and placed where visitors already have context — for example, inside a post they're already engaging with. A well-placed form often performs better than a standalone one because it feels like a natural part of the conversation, not an interruption.
