The simplest way to capture subscriptions in Spoks is to use its built-in popup or embedded forms — they're configured directly in Spoks and connect submissions to contacts automatically. If you'd rather use a different solution, any form or popup tool that creates contacts in your Shopify store will also work, since those contacts sync into Spoks.
Common use cases include newsletter signups, lead capture, and contact updates.
Use a Spoks form
Spoks has two form types that appear directly on your store: popup forms and embedded forms.
A popup form appears as an overlay, shown to visitors based on triggers like time delay, scroll, or exit intent.
An embedded form is placed directly inline on a page of your store — for example, in the footer or on a dedicated signup page — using the Spoks Embedded Form block.
Both connect submissions to contacts in Spoks automatically, provided the form includes an Email or Phone question.
To set up a popup form, see How do I set up a popup form for my store?. To set up an embedded form, see How do I add an embedded form to my store?.
Use a third-party solution
Any form or popup solution that creates contacts in your Shopify store will work — those contacts are automatically synced into Spoks. A free option is Shopify Forms.
Triggering a flow on submissions
You can automatically run a flow when someone submits a form. The setup depends on which form solution you used:
For Spoks popup forms, use the Form submission trigger. See How do I trigger a flow when someone submits a form? for the full setup.
For third-party form solutions (like Shopify Forms), the Form submission trigger doesn't apply. Instead, configure the form to apply a tag on submission, then trigger a Spoks flow on that tag. See How do I trigger a flow from a third-party form submission? for the full setup.
