How do I add a "subscribe to our newsletter" feature to my website

How to capture subscriptions in Spoks using built-in popup forms or third-party solutions like Shopify Forms.

Written by Peter

The simplest way to capture subscriptions in Spoks is to use its built-in popup or embedded forms — they're configured directly in Spoks and connect submissions to contacts automatically. If you'd rather use a different solution, any form or popup tool that creates contacts in your Shopify store will also work, since those contacts sync into Spoks.

Common use cases include newsletter signups, lead capture, and contact updates.

Use a Spoks form

Spoks has two form types that appear directly on your store: popup forms and embedded forms.

  • A popup form appears as an overlay, shown to visitors based on triggers like time delay, scroll, or exit intent.

  • An embedded form is placed directly inline on a page of your store — for example, in the footer or on a dedicated signup page — using the Spoks Embedded Form block.

Both connect submissions to contacts in Spoks automatically, provided the form includes an Email or Phone question.

Use a third-party solution

Any form or popup solution that creates contacts in your Shopify store will work — those contacts are automatically synced into Spoks. A free option is Shopify Forms.

Triggering a flow on submissions

You can automatically run a flow when someone submits a form. The setup depends on which form solution you used:
